ABOUT ME

I am a Special Teaching Staff member at the Cyprus University of Technology and a Research Fellow on the ERC project Disappearing Act at the University of Cyprus. I recently completed my PhD in Political and Social Sciences (Cum Laude) at Pompeu Fabra University, where I was supervised by Professor Toni Rodon.

My research lies at the intersection of political behaviour, representation, and computational social science. I study how citizens form political judgements in contemporary democracies, focusing on public opinion and digital political behaviour. I also work on political violence, with projects examining repression, enforced disappearances, and transitional justice. Methodologically, my work combines text-as-data approaches, machine learning, and geospatial analysis.

I hold a master’s degree in Democracy and Comparative Politics from University College London (UCL) and a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Internet Studies from the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT). I graduated from UCL with distinction and was the valedictorian of CUT in 2019, receiving an award from the President of the Republic of Cyprus for academic excellence.

My work has been published or is forthcoming in journals such as Government and Opposition, Political Geography, Party Politics, Politics and Governance, Cooperation and Conflict, South European Society and Politics, International Journal of Transitional Justice, and The Communication Review. I regularly present at international conferences including EPSA, ECPR, BISA, ESS, and CRS.
